Mission Statement:
"We are committed to making education accessible for all, empowering students to pursue higher learning, and honoring the legacy of Edith G. Johnson through scholarships and community support."
The E.G. Johnson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2010 to honor the grace, dignity, and commitment of Edith G. Johnson. Throughout her life, she encouraged students to pursue education without limits, and this scholarship serves as a testament to that mission.
The scholarship provides financial assistance to help students continue their education beyond high school.
Please note that current college students are not eligible.
Each year, the Foundation collaborates with community organizations and faith-based groups to support and empower youth. We are proud to partner with Emmanuel Baptist Church and Project Discovery through the Hampton Roads Community Action Program (HRCAP). These partnerships allow us to inspire and equip young people to pursue their dreams.
If your organization is interested in partnering with the Foundation, we invite you to contact us.
